We have seen already this over the last few years with the Leisure Line Hi Rider that did away with the wheel arch in the layout design of the Platinum models.
They stepped into the two-berth campervan market with the Auto Haus campervan, and orders for these are outstripping demand as expected.
Earlier this year we saw the well-aimed lighter-weight, but highly spec’d Nomad caravan at the Covi motorhome show in March, and at the recent NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan and Leisure show at Mystery Creek in September they surprised the market again with a new ready-to-rumble off-road model, taking on the Aussie off-road market head to head – while giving Kiwis a locally manufactured option to choose from if that is what they require.
We caught up with Rob Axton from Country RV in Mt Maunganui as he was heading off to pick up the first model for his showroom, and yes, with it weighing in at 2700kg he did take a 3500kg towing vehicle to bring it back.
As the name Freedom suggests – and you can see from the build – you will be able to take this caravan to a lot of off-road places for sure. Check out the photos of this first model.
If off-roading is your thing then maybe this model will suit.
